The story of our toy making starts way back in 1972 with a range of wooden toys that were awarded the NZdesign mark for good design. Like then, I remain committed to the ideal of toys being made from natural materials, to be aesthetically pleasing and most importantly – " HAVE
REAL PLAY VALUE " - Ken Redmond designer.

Our plan is to develop an extensive range of toys but for now we are starting with just a few toys, marketed under the brand name ini – instructions not included.

ini toys are dispatched unassembled with no instructions on how to assemble. The smoothly sanded components also arrive unpainted. Working with Mum or Dad or an older sibling a child gets to discover how the toy goes together and, if they want to paint their toy, the fun of selecting and applying colour. Resene test pot colours a reported to be safe but if you have any concerns then we recommend buying test pots from The Natural Paint Company located in Christchurch.

Our toy houses come with printed interiors that can be drawn and coloured –and changed at will.

The farm tractor has a strong hook for towing other toys. It also hooks up to ini’s HoneySticks Crayon Trailer
